Who are MJS Computer Services ?

We have many years experience in problem diagnosis, repair and

upgrades for Personal Computers and Laptops.

MJS Computers have serviced both domestic and business customers

for over 11 years.

We have been operating a highly successful computer repair

business since 1998 - being one of the first North East based Computer

Repair companies to offer a friendly call out service.

Who are MJS Computer Services?

My name is Michael Searle and I set up MJS Computer Services way back in 1999, a few months before the millennium bug was about to strike!

I have 20 years experience in problem diagnosis, repair and upgrades for Personal Computers and Laptops.

We are now a tight knit enterprise which includes similarly experienced computer repair technicians.

MJS Computer Services are based in Washington, Tyne and Wear, but as we are a call out computer repair company, we cover the whole of the North East of England. Washington is a great base for us to work from, as this is central to most areas - 10 minutes away from Sunderland or Newcastle - 20 minutes to get to Morpeth or Cramlington (straight through the Tyne tunnel and we are there!)

The reason ? .....

Over the years, have you noticed how many independent computer repair shops have come and gone, usually within 3-6 months?

The problem with all of these shops is they do initially quite well, but quickly exhaust the small area surrounding them and go under due to lack of new sales.

By "casting the net further", and providing a professional, friendly service, we have been able to build our customer base and now have many happy and loyal friends who have been with us from the beginning - something you really need when going through a terrible recession!

As laptops became cheaper and more widespread, we have adapted to the challenge of providing quality notebook repair at a competitive price. This is by far the main part of our business now.

We are delighted by the much positive feedback and comments we`ve received and hope to build on this.

We cover the North East of England, from Seaham, Sunderland and South Shields to Newcastle, Morpeth and Alnwick!

Recently I was discussing with a new client, the negative experiences he has had with another IT Support company based in Sunderland (they didn`t showing up after booking an appointment). It seems strange to me that people would book an appointment and then forget about it or change their mind.

This is our four step process on how we deliver reliable Computer Support:

1) We assess whether we are a good match and are confident to help with your problem. If so, proceed to step 2…

2) We explain if anything is needed before we arrive and how we work.

3) We check our schedule and yours, and give you a specific time slot in a 2 hour window. We then block it off in our diary so nothing else gets in the way.

4) We arrive, help you with your problem and get the job done.

If there are any delays or problems in getting to your appointment we phone or sms ahead to let you know, so you aren`t left wondering or waiting.

This system ensures we don’t miss appointments and keep our clients happy.

MJS Computer Services are a small business. We travel around and help people on-site, because people like being able to get their problems sorted out, without having to remember how to unplug and replug everything. It`s also a hassle to lug your PC around. When offering an on site service, your computer can be repaired in the comfort of your own home, there and then without waiting for weeks to get it back.

By keeping our overheads to an absolute minimum, we can offer superb value for money. Many large, national computer companies (PC World) or hardware manufacturers (Sony, Dell) tend to be very expensive, particularly when it comes to laptop repairs and have sadly lost their personal touch with customers.
